Our Kuleana

Kuleana is known to be a Hawaiian term for “responsibility.” It is a meaning that holds a significant value between us, Native Hawaiians, and the things we are responsible for. Many Hawaiians would say that their kuleana is to care for the land. While that is part of our responsibility, Ahonui Productions’ is committed to telling stories through videography and photography. Whether it may be telling stories about the relationship between the land and our ancestors or the marriage between two people, it is our kuleana to document timeless stories so that the next generation can understand our passions and past actions.

“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
